Oxnard Security (Part-Time) - Oxnard Super Thrift Store, Oxnard

Summary - Duties include filling out Daily Activity Reports / Incident Reports and dealing with local Police Department. Oxnard Security position reporting to the Rescue Mission Alliance Security Supervisor and Store Managers located at Oxnard Super Thrift Store. This is a part-time, non-exempt regular position. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Provide a visible security presence to ensure the safety and security of RMA facilities, customers, guest and staff, patrol premises to detect and prevent suspicious occurrences, theft, unsafe conditions and potential conflicts, enforce parking rules and Thrift Store policies and procedures. Respond to and investigate potential situations, warn violators of rule infractions, apprehend or evict violators from premises when necessary, observe and report in writing any unusual activity or potentially dangerous situation, contact supervisor if situations escalate or presents a danger. Fill out DAR / Incident Reports and Victim / Witness Reports, pay attention to significant details, follow patrol orders and post orders to the letter, phone for assistance when needed (Police, Paramedics, Fire, etc.), secure all gates, windows, doors, entries, buildings, freezers, pantries, etc., perform security “safety sweeps” of the main floor twice an hour. Loss prevention (apprehension of suspects), carry out and receives donations when necessary. Be familiar with the Thrift Store Emergency Evacuation Plan to play a key part of assisting in case of an emergency.  Promote RMA safety program and ensure compliance, model safe work practices and attend all safety matrix meetings.

Qualifications - High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Maintain physical condition to ensure ability to lift up to 60lbs., lift boxes, stand for periods of time, and sustain extensive walking. Cashier - Oxnard Super Thrift Store, Oxnard

Summary - The cashier position will assist Associates. This is a full-time, non-exempt regular position located in Oxnard, California, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime and benefits according to applicable guidelines.

Development Coordinator - Rescue Mission Alliance Headquarters, Oxnard

Summary - The Development Coordinator is responsible for the production of the Rescue Mission Alliance’s marketing and fundraising projects. This position reports directly to the Director of Development and works with RMA ministries, support staff, and consultants to achieve the goals of the organization’s marketing and fundraising program. This is a full-time nonexempt, regular position. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience and includes benefits. This position is overtime eligible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - The Development Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of direct mail, advertising, digital media, and marketing projects; and to maintain effective communication with the Director of Development regarding approvals, project updates, and problem resolution. Plans and coordinates all email, mobile, social and web fundraising campaigns to meet departmental revenue budget objectives. Collaborates with RMA ministries on any fundraising social media campaigns and messaging as part of multi-channel campaigns; evaluates responses and recommends rollout, elimination or modification. Develops testing plans for all direct mail and digital channels; provides feedback to the Development team on results of the new tests. Analyzes the results of all testing and acts on the results. Develops plans to integrate offline activities into online fundraising campaigns, targeting prospects and donors in an effective, streamlined manner across multiple channels. Optimize web experiences to drive fundraising performance, including optimizing page copy, layout and conversion flow. Work with RMA ministries to gather content for direct mail elements, such as stories for newsletters, photographs, statistics, advertisements, and other resources. Review all copy and artwork for spelling, grammar, factual details and design layout. Keep RMA current with all postal requirements for direct marketing appeals and newsletters. Work with RMA ministries to gather information on programs, events and other pertinent ministry information for press releases. Maintain media contact database and distribute press releases. Maintain master calendar of all ministry events. Provide support for special projects such as advertising campaigns, brochures, annual reports, and special fundraising events. Collaborate with Director of Development to develop copy for donor acknowledgement letters, press releases, lead letters, web content, email and other promotional materials. Participate in other activities, programs, and teams to support the greater purposes of RMA. Comply with and promote the RMA safety program. Perform other related duties and projects assigned by the Director of Development. 

Qualifications - Committed Christian, in agreement with Rescue Mission Alliance Statement of Faith and active in a local church. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a major course of study in development, marketing, communications, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional-level related position. Valid California driver’s license and insurable under Rescue Mission Alliance. Director of Thrift Store Operations, Oxnard

Director, Women and Children's Rescue Mission and Emergency Shelter - Lighthouse for Women & Children, Oxnard

The Director is responsible to oversee the Mission’s core value of Changing Lives for Good for the women and children we serve through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Provide a complete continuum of care specifically tailored to the needs of the homeless by offering shelter, intervention, substance abuse recovery, case management, education, life skills development, vocational training, employment, and transitional housing. Program Description - The Lighthouse for Women and Children under the umbrella of the Ventura County Rescue Mission is a ministry of the Rescue Mission Alliance (RMA), a Christian non-profit organization that has been serving the less fortunate in Southern California through emergency and long-term rehabilitation services since 1972. The Lighthouse for Women & Children offers a 9- month residential Life Recovery Program,  30- to 90-day Emergency Shelter (with 6-month Employment Search and transfer to the Life Recovery Program options) and a 2-year Transitional / Sober Living Program.

Qualifications - Must be a committed Christian woman, active in a local church with exemplary character and a proven ability to lead, initiate, problem-solve, disciple, and pray for clients. Desired qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Bible College or seminary preferred) plus a minimum of five years of ministry, management, and non-profit experience; strong writing, computer, and administrative skills. Must be a collaborative leader with excellent managerial skill, strong relational and team building skills. Gifted in organizational development with strong strategic planning abilities. Summary - The Production Worker/Relief Cashier is responsible for assisting the production crew to complete all necessary tasks in order to meet production goals in a timely manner. Development Assistant  - San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, North Hollywood

SummaryThe Development Assistant supports our Home Again Capital Campaign to raise $6 million for the remodeling and opening of a 90-bed family shelter in Northridge. The primary focus of this position is providing the ground work for the individual donor portion of the campaign, developing and cultivating existing and potential individual donors, and managing the general administration of the campaign.

The Development Assistant will manage the database and departmental systems and support a wide range of relationship-building activities and special events. Volunteer Coordinator - Central Coast Rescue Mission, Santa Maria

SummaryThe Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for assisting in effective strategies to help build exciting new partnerships with the Central Coast Rescue Mission (CCRM). This position also assists the Outreach Coordinator with the mission’s volunteer ministry. This is a full-time, non-exempt regular position reporting to the Director. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRepresent the work of Central Coast Rescue Mission to the community in a truthful, compelling way through presentation and relationships, work closely with staff to develop and sustain a volunteer centric culture, administratively support partnerships with area churches, agencies, and individuals. Maintain documentation of volunteer process (filing, organizing, etc.), Manage volunteer inquiries through email, phone, personal contact, and presentations, database and schedules, oversee the volunteer recruitment, selection, equipping, and leading CCRM, work collaboratively with other Rescue Mission Alliance Volunteer Coordinators, and other staff in order to support and implement Church Partnership initiatives and strategies. Director - Victor Valley Rescue Mission, Victorville

Summary - The Director of the Victor Valley Rescue Mission (VVRM) is responsible to oversee the development and implementation of all services provided through VVRM in response to the community needs and in alignment with RMA’s mission, vision, and values. This is a full-time, exempt position located Victorville, CA, and reports to the Regional Vice President of Ministries. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience, and includes benefits.

The Director will oversee a growing ministry to the hungry, homeless, and addicted, including a residential Life Recovery Program and thrift store operations. The Director will be responsible for planning and goal setting, program organization, budgeting, decision making, personnel recruiting and motivation, training, and ministry development.

The Director will also collaborate with local churches, agencies, school districts, and government boards to affect an integrated program capable of meeting the felt needs within the community, and facilitate and model commitment to the ministry of fund-raising.

Program Description – The Director of the Victor Valley Rescue Mission, under the umbrella of  Rescue Mission Alliance (RMA), a Christian non-profit organization that has been serving the less fortunate in Southern California through emergency and long-term rehabilitation services since 1972. The Victor Valley Rescue Mission (VVRM) is a vital part of RMA that offers outreach and emergency cold weather shelter to families, as well as a men’s drug and alcohol recovery program in Victorville, CA.

Qualifications - Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active in a local Christian church. BA (Bible School/Seminary) or equivalent in related field plus five years ministry, management, supervisory and non-profit experience. Experience in directing the operations of a rescue mission or similar ministry preferred. Must have compatible theology with RMA core values and Statement of Faith. Must be committed to serving God and the body of Christ. Must have a teachable spirit and be committed to team participation. Genuine burden to have people come to Christ and to have their needs alleviated. Must be an initiator who can work under deadlines. SummaryThe Security Guard position is responsible for the safety and security of Victor Valley Super Thrift Store, customers, guests, and staff and reports to the Thrift Store Supervisor. This is a part-time, non-exempt regular position located in Hesperia CA. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience and is overtime eligible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Provide a visible security presence to ensure the safety and security of RMA facilities, customers, guest and staff, patrol premises to detect and prevent suspicious occurrences, theft, unsafe conditions and potential conflicts, enforce parking rules and Thrift Store policies and procedures. Respond to and investigate potential situations, warn violators of rule infractions, apprehend or evict violators from premises when necessary, observe and report in writing any unusual activity or potentially dangerous situation, contact supervisor if situations escalate or presents a danger. Fill out DAR / Incident Reports and Victim / Witness Reports, pay attention to significant details, follow patrol orders and post orders to the letter, phone for assistance when needed (Police, Paramedics, Fire, etc.), secure all gates, windows, doors, entries, buildings, freezers, pantries, etc., perform security “safety sweeps” of the main floor twice an hour. Loss prevention (apprehension of suspects), carry out and receives donations when necessary. Attend all training classes and meetings. Be familiar with Thrift Store Emergency Evacuation Plan.

QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent. Maintain physical condition to ensure ability to lift up to 60lbs., lift boxes, stand for periods of time, and sustain extensive walking. Able to read, write, detail oriented, strong customer service, team player, excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills, able to work under pressure, Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
